Two arrested after teenage boy assaulted during robbery in Swindon

Two people have been arrested after a teenage boy was assaulted during a robbery in Swindon last night.

Wiltshire Police were called at around 10.10pm yesterday (21/09) by the ambulance service who were treating a boy who had been assaulted in Fleming Way.

The victim, who is 16, had suffered relatively minor injuries and did not require hospital treatment.

However his mobile phone and money were stolen during the robbery.

Two men aged 23 and 33 were arrested on suspicion of robbery a short while later and are currently in custody at Gablecross Police Station.

Officers would ask anyone who witnessed the robbery, or anyone who has any information about what happened, to call Swindon CID.
