Arrest after cyclist ended up on car bonnet

A cyclist ended up on the bonnet of a car after a row in Old Town, police say.

Swindon officers are appealing for information following the incident, which happened at the junction of Wood Street and Devizes Road at about 6.20pm on Tuesday, 28 July.
A force spokesperson said a verbal altercation between the cyclist and the driver of a black Toyota was followed by the motorist attempting to drive off and the cyclist ending up on the bonnet of the car.
The cyclist - a man in his 30s - was checked over at the scene by an ambulance crew. The spokesperson said he was not seriously hurt but left very shaken up.
A man in his 50s from Swindon has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
