15-year-old boy stabbed in New Year's Day Royal Wootton Bassett disorder

A 15-year-old boy suffered stab wounds after the disorder yesterday afternoon. Five people have been arrested. Police are appealing for witnesses and any CCTV from the area.

Officers are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault in Ruxley Close, Royal Wootton Bassett yesterday (01/01) around 4pm.

A 15-year-old boy has suffered stab wounds, not thought to be life threatening and was taken to hospital for treatment, where he remains.

Four teenage boys have been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder.

A 23-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

They remain in police custody.

Officers are currently carrying out enquiries in the area and people living locally are likely to notice an increased police presence.

Police are appealing for anyone who saw what happened, or has CCTV or doorbell footage, to get in touch.
