Four students and an interpreter from Gumi City Hall in South Korea visited Swindon's Register Office in Euclid Street to find out more about the marriage services they offer.
The Swindon Borough Council team gave them a tour of the Register Office and the Civic Campus with the group also observing a wedding ceremony and speaking to officers to gain an insight into how they conduct weddings and how many they oversee.
The delegation came to Swindon in search of ideas on how to change the general opinion of Register Office weddings in South Korea. The country currently has less people getting married due to the high cost of ceremonies.
Swindon was just one stop for the team who visited a number of other neighbouring authorities as they continued their fact-finding mission.
