Swindon Borough Council have released further details about the progress of its LED streetlight upgrading scheme.

The council say more than 25,400 street lights have now been upgraded to LEDs across the Borough.

From the middle of this month, the contractor for the scheme, Enerveo (formerly SSE), has been installing the final street light columns that need to be replaced.

Following installation, there will be a slight delay before the lights are dimmed.

The council say if lights in your road have not been dimmed after 10 days, individuals can go to its website to report any issues: https://www.swindon.gov.uk/info/20040/road_safety_maintenance_and_repairs/337/report_a_faulty_street_light_or_illuminated_sign

Members of the public can find more details of upcoming work or search for a particular street at https://www.swindon.gov.uk/info/20136/transport_strategy/1133/led_street_lighting_upgrade_scheme
