Teenager seriously injured in Swindon attack

Swindon Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault on a teenager in the town.

Just after midnight yesterday - 4 March - a 19-year-old man suffered multiple injuries following a serious assault which took place in Wolsely Avenue, Park South.
The victim was chased by a group of males before being stabbed.
He was treated at the scene for his wounds, which were serious but not life-threatening, and is currently recovering in hospital.
Acting Det Sgt Craig Rathbone said: “This was a very concerning assault by what we believe to be a group of males which resulted in the victim sustaining significant injuries.
“It is vitally important that we hear from anyone with information about this incident. We would also urge anyone who was driving in the area at the time to check dashcam footage for anything that might assist in identifying those involved.”
Anyone who witnessed the incident or may have information about who might be responsible is asked to call on 101, referencing log number 5 of yesterday 4 March.
