Detectives investigating a sexual assault in Swindon over the weekend have released an image of a potential witness they would like to speak to.

The victim, a woman in her 30s, was sexually assaulted in St Mark’s Park, just outside the town centre, in the early hours of Saturday morning (19/09).

The suspect is described as having dark skin, approximately 5ft 5ins tall, slim and wearing a black leather jacket.

Before and after the incident she was assisted or approached by three separate members of the public, who could be key witnesses that we need to speak to.

One of these, who we believe is the man pictured, helped her after the assault and took her to McDonalds on Great Western Way, bought her some food and organised a taxi for her to get home.

Det Con Lou Kuklinski, from Swindon CID, said: “We want to make it clear that we need to speak to this man as we believe he could be a potential witness, helping us understand more about what happened to this woman.

“If you are the man in the picture, or you know who he is, please contact us urgently to help us with our enquiries.”

If you have information about the man pictured, or you were one of the men who came to this woman’s assistance, then please call us on 101, quoting crime reference 54200094577. Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
