Community switch-ons were held for three South Swindon Parish Council Christmas Trees.
The festive trees, adorned with twinkling light, stand at Broadgreen Community Centre, Badbury Park Community Hub and Cavendish Square.
These locations were chosen to enhance the festive atmosphere in the heart of the community and provide a joyful backdrop for residents and visitors alike.
To mark the placement of the trees, South Swindon Parish Council organised special switch-on events which brought together members of the community, local leaders, and special guests to mark the start of the festive season.
The festivities featured performances from local youth choirs including Rhythmix Goa, who performed at Broadgreen and Goddard Park Primary School’s choir.
At Badbury Park, the new community library hosted a special festive story time for the little ones. Even Santa was able to come down from the North Pole and deliver gifts to the local children.
Cllr Neil Hopkins, Chair of South Swindon Parish Council, said: "It was fantastic to see so many people come out and celebrate the start of the festive season with us.
"The placement of these Christmas trees is a symbol of our commitment to fostering a sense of togetherness and festive spirit within our community.
"I’d like to thank all participants, performers, and attendees who made these events memorable.
“The trees are in place until the beginning of January, so I encourage residents to visit and enjoy them over the festive period.”
