St Andrews Parish Council announce Summer Activities schedule

St Andrews Parish Council are pleased to announce that they will be hosting a series of activity days at the Redhouse Community Centre.

The St Andrews Parish Council say they believe that the sessions will provide positive interventions for young people during the school summer holidays.

The activity days will take place across the following dates:

  • Monday 8 August – 11am to 1pm
  • Thursday 11 August – 2pm to 4pm
  • Monday 15 August -11am to 1pm
  • Thursday 18 August – 2pm to 4pm
  • Monday 22 August -11am to 1pm
  • Thursday 25 August – 2pm to 4pm
  • Thursday 1 September – 2pm to 4pm


The sessions will be broken down in different activities including:

  • Non – contact boxing drills and skills
  • Football drills
  • Non – contact freestyle martial arts
  • Group games
  • Team building exercises.

The Parish Council say some of the benefits of taking part will include:

  • Exercise to increase Health and Mental Well-Being
  • Leadership skills
  • Team building skills
  • Increase communication skills
  • Build community spirit/cohesion
  • Decrease post- Covid19 Lockdown Social isolation
  • Make new friends and have fun


The sessions will be run by highly skilled coaches/instructors with decades of experience, who will aim to make the activities fun and engaging and accessible to all who want to join in.
