A man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing which saw two victims hospitalised.

A 30-year-old man, from Nottingham, has been arrested in the Nottingham area and transported to Wiltshire. He is currently in custody at Gablecross Police Station.

He has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.

The arrest is in connection with a serious assault in Victoria Road, Old Town on Monday night (8/7/19), which resulted in two men suffering stab or slash wounds.

Despite the fact that the men arrived at hospital separately, we now believe they were injured in the same assault.

The two victims have since been discharged from hospital.

Wiltshire police are continuing to appeal for witnesses or anyone with information about the incident to come forward.

Please call Swindon CID on 101, quoting crime reference 54190066481. Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
