A call has gone out for volunteers to join Swindon's Forget Me Not Bakers.
The bakers make birthday cakes for the borough's most vulnerable residents.
These include Swindon Circles clients, residents of the Foyer, Wiltshire House and Radnor Lodge together – Swindon Borough Council's homeless hostels for young people - and Culvery Court, a homeless hostel for adults in Swindon. Among the volunteer bakers is Sam, who recently made a decorative unicorn-themed cake for a resident's 90th birthday, which was delivered by Swindon Circles volunteer Matt, pictured middle.
Another volunteer baker, Nikki, created a beautiful floral cake for Mary (pictured right) who also celebrated her 90th birthday last month.
A spokesperson said: "Our bakers have no special skills, except a love of baking!
"Please email the team if you're interested in finding out more about this project and become one of our star bakers - [email protected]."
