Stratton Council invites public to celebrate The Queen's Jubilee

Stratton St Margaret Parish Council will be holding a day of Jubilee celebrations with a whole host of family friendly activities, this June.

Stratton St Margaret Parish Council are inviting members of the public to celebrate The Queen's Platinum Jubilee at the Grange Field on 5 June.
 
The Jubilee celebration day will have an English “street party” feel with marquees, table and chairs and outside bar facilities.
 
The event, in partnership with Parkwood, will start from 12 noon and some of the activities and attractions attendees can enjoy include:
  • Food outlets
  • Afternoon teas
  • Music – an hour of each era for the queens rein
  • Best Cake Competition
  • Pims Tent
  • Welly throwing
  • Tombola and raffle
  • St John's Ambulance crew
  • Dog Show
  • Police car attendance and bike marking

There will also be various activities for families and children, including:

  • Scout led event
  • Inflatable fair
  • BEST youth engagement
  • Fire Truck
  • Craft tent
  • Bunting Competition
  • Pin the tail on the Corgi and a Corgi hunt
  • Tractors for the children to go on
  • Face Painting
  • Royal Story Telling led by the Library
  • Coconut shy
  • Cardboard cut-out of the queen for pictures to be taken “with the queen”
  • Balloon Arch
  • Splat the corgi
  • Fancy dress comp for kids - dress like royalty

The council says all donations and proceeds will go towards the Chairman's Charity.
