Staff from the 19th Swindon Beaver and Cubs have recently undertaken a course looking at mental health to better the support they can offer their young club attendees.

19th Swindon Beaver and Cub Leaders took the mental health course to help support the young people that make up their groups.

Last year the South Swindon Parish Council awarded the 19th Swindon Scouts - based at Goddard Park School - a grant which helped fund the mental health course for the leaders.

A spokesperson from the parish council said: "It's great to see that the leaders have been awarded their certificates and can continue to support young people in the best way possible."
