Swindon's Lucy Humphrey completed the 34 mile trek in under ten hours.
The local marketing executive raised more than £500 for Dementia UK.
She said: “At Swindon’s Bus Company, we work hard to make local bus services more accessible for some of their most vulnerable passengers.
“Bus services across Swindon provide a vital lifeline for many of those living within the local community - giving them access a wide variety of shops, health services and other amenities.
“People living with dementia, in particular, rely on our services in order to carry out their everyday activities - but we know they have special requirements when travelling with us.”
“I’m pleased to report that 98 of our drivers are ‘dementia friends’.
“They are fully aware of the special requirements, and can help to make their journeys comfortable and stress-free. In order to achieve this, we added a specific dementia-friendly aspect to our Customer Promise course, which all our drivers have now completed."
Swindon’s Bus Company has also introduced a match-funding policy, allowing any members of its team to claim up to £300 per financial year to add to their own fundraising efforts - boosting Lucy’s total still further.
Lucy added: “I know that many of our customers suffer with the debilitating condition, so I decided to do something to help raise funds for Dementia UK, which does wonderful work, providing specialist nurses to support families affected by dementia.
“I walked from nearby Salisbury to Christchurch, and it was an enjoyable but tough challenge. I’m delighted to have surpassed my £500 target and would like to thank all those who donated.”
