Knifepoint robbery on Swindon footbridge

The police are appealing for witnesses following a knifepoint robbery in Swindon

It happened at about 12.50pm on Tuesday, 17 November. The victim, a man in his 30s, was walking over the footbridge between Shaftesbury Avenue and Eldene Drive.

He was approached by a man holding a knife, who demanded money.

The victim, who was not injured but was left shaken, handed over a small amount of cash and the offender left the area.

The suspect is described as white, around 5ft 7ins tall, of skinny build, and was wearing a light blue tracksuit top with white stripes down the sleeves and blue jeans.

He was also wearing a black baseball cap and had a black face covering on.
