Swindon & Wiltshire Pride now recruiting committee members

Swindon & Wiltshire Pride are now looking for volunteers to fill out various committee role vacancies.

The Swindon & Wiltshire Pride team have announced applications are now open to join Swindon & Wiltshire Pride’s 2022 committee.

Volunteers are needed from all walks of life to help run the charity for the next year, as well as host the main 2022 Pride event itself.

There are vacancies for the following roles:

Chairperson
Events Manager
Trustee
Social Media Manager
Volunteer Manager
Grants Manager
Parade Manager

Sarah Mason, Vice-chair of Swindon & Wiltshire Pride said: “Volunteers are needed from all walks of life to help support Swindon & Wiltshire Pride for the next year, as well as organise the main 2022 Pride event itself.

“By joining the committee you can learn and develop skills, and be part of something special, throughout the year.”

Now in its 13th year, the annual festival includes a colourful parade starting in Town Gardens, making its way through Old Town before returning. Various local organisations, service providers and charities have stalls, as well as the main stage for entertainment.

The Swindon & Wiltshire Pride team say they committed to equal opportunity, as well as encouraging people from marginalised and minority backgrounds to apply, so they can ensure better representation of all groups of people.
