Two teenagers arrested after stabbing in Swindon

Officers investigating a robbery in which a man was stabbed in Swindon have arrested two teenagers in connection with the attack.

Shortly before 10.30am yesterday morning - 18 August - a man in his 20s suffered multiple stab wounds to his arms and legs in an incident in Loxley Walk, Park South.

He was taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

A grey and blue electric bike was also stolen.

Two 17-year-olds have been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent, one of whom has also been arrested on suspicion of possession of cannabis.

They have both been bailed while further enquiries take place.

Detective Sergeant James Rodrigues of the Operation Fortitude team said: “Officers take reports of incidents of this nature extremely seriously and we understand the shock and upset it has caused in the local community.

“Officers worked tirelessly overnight to identify two individuals who have now been arrested in connection with the incident, but we believe more individuals were involved.
