Swindon Borough Council is inviting people to come and help to make the borough a better place.

A spokesperson said: "There are still opportunities to get involved in one of the tree planting events taking place this month, organised by the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust as part of its Swindon Forest Meadows partnership with the Council.
"Find out more about the volunteer opportunities organised by the Council as well as through Voluntary Action Swindon."
Current volunteers include Mike, pictured, who helped out at a recent tree planting event at Stanton Park, but he also regularly helps out at the Council’s Wheels for All cycling sessions at the County Ground athletics track.
Mike said: "It’s a privilege to be part of several local volunteer teams. Doing whatever you can for the environment with a great bunch of people always gives me a personal boost.
"I would highly recommend it.”
