A brand new, twice-weekly town centre market has officially opened at Wharf Green.
Every Thursday and Saturday, a new market will be held at Wharf Green in Swindon.
The market will run from 9am to 3pm on both days.
Swindon Borough Council say independent retailers will be selling their goods in the first retail market for a number of years, thanks to Cotswold Markets who are operating the event.
inSwindon BID’s Director Anita Bellinger said: “inSwindon has worked hard to ensure the return of the market in Wharf Green and we are delighted that it has received a great response. We know how fondly residents, visitors and businesses feel about the market and we are so pleased to bring them back.”
Alongside the retail market, every third Friday of the month will see a Fine Food Farmer’s Market take place, with the first one arriving on Friday, 20 May.
A spokesperson from Swindon Borough Council said: "Why not come on down on Saturday or Thursday, and see what Swindon has to offer?"
