As it is the school holiday period, the Wilts & Berks Canal Trust are reminding the public about its available boat trips aboard The Dragonfly.

Staff at the Wiltshire and Berkshire Canal Trust will be running trips on Wednesdays, as well as weekends, through until next term.

They will be offering people the chance to hop aboard their canal boat 'The Dragonfly' which can be found on Wichelstowe's strecth of canal.

Trips will run at half-hourly intervals from 10.30am - 4pm. The postcode SN1 7BX can be used to locate the boat's landing stage.

The Dragonfly can hold up to 12 passengers and two crew members. There is also space for one wheelchair, but the boat cannot get larger powered wheelchairs on board on the lift.

The Wilts & Berks Canal Trust team says that unfortunately a key part of The Dragonfly's usual trip route is currently blocked off, but they have found that they can offer shorter trips.

Fares are £4 per person, for anyone aged two-years-old or over.

Members of the public can either just turn up, email [email protected] or ring 07401220076
