A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage by officers investigating damage caused overnight to Swindon Magistrates Court.
Numerous windows of the court building in Princes Street were broken.
Chief inspector Al Lumley said: “A number of windows in the court building have been damaged which would have undoubtedly created quite a bit of noise.
“We would like to hear from anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area near the magistrates court overnight.
“We would also like to hear from anyone who may have recorded dashcam footage from the area near the court building in Princes Street between 6pm yesterday [Monday, 4 September] and 7am today."
Anybody able to help is asked to contact the force on 101, quoting log 57 of Tuesday, 5 September.
