Arrest after Swindon bottle attack leaves teenager needing facial surgery

An appeal for witnesses has been launched after a bottle attack on a teenaged boy

It happened in Croft Woods on Thursday 23 May between 7pm and 8pm, and the victim was left with facial lacerations requiring surgery.

A police spokesperson said: "The teenager was walking with a friend near to the Intel Building, Pipers Way when he was hit in the back of the head and face. 

"He was then assaulted again with a glass bottle, causing a deep cut to his face. A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion on GBH with intent and has been released on bail.
