People with an interest in local healthcare are invited to come along to the next meeting of Swindon Clinical Commissioning Group’s Governing Body.

Taking place on Thursday 24 May between 9.30am and 11.30am at the Pierre Simonet Building in North Swindon, the meeting is a chance for residents of Swindon and Shrivenham to hear the latest news and updates from the organisation responsible for purchasing the town’s health services. Those coming along will be able to have their previously-submitted questions answered by the Governing Body, which is made up of CCG executives, local GPs and other healthcare staff from across Swindon. Each Governing Body meeting also features a real-life patient story, which gives an honest account of how local people are benefiting from, or struggling with, the town’s healthcare services. Chaired by an independent member of the public, the monthly Governing Body meeting is an open forum in which the very people who use the NHS can question, scrutinise and air their views on decisions being taken by the CCG. Although the meeting is open to all, anybody wishing to come along must register their attendance in advance. Questions to the Governing Body must also be submitted in writing prior to the meeting. To book a place or ask a question, send an email to [email protected] or call 01793 683700.
