As part of the school's Nova 365 project, Nova Hreod is supporting Swindon-based charity Freedom Kit Bags.

Nova 365 is an initiative launched by Nova Hreod in a bid to select and support one charity per year. This year the school will be raising funds for Freedom Kit Bags, who provide sanitary products to women in Nepal, and the Shree Golma Devi School - also in Nepal. As part of Nova Hreod's efforts to raise money for the charity the school will be hosting a fundraiser 'Clubbercise' in the school's sport hall, Sunday 18 March, from 10am to 12pm. The morning will include a raffle with prizes and a work out to club anthems. As well as the fundraiser Nova Hreod students have also been creating classroom resources for the Shree Golma Devi School. Barbara Freeman, Office Manager, Marketing and Communications, said: "The date was arranged as close to International Women’s Day as we could get it, as there’s a strong link to feminine health and wellbeing, as the charity is also linked to Freedom Kit Bags which is working to educate Nepali people about menstruation and women’s health and providing resources to empower women to take control of their lives by providing them with education and business skills to become independent."
