Sgt Richard Fay, of the Central South Community Policing Team, said: “We had a really proactive day and as well as the arrests, officers also disrupted groups of youths acting in an anti-social manner in and around the Bilborough Drive are. Work will now continue to be carried out by the Neighbourhood Team to address the issues currently being experienced by residents in this area.

“Being visible in the community is key to reducing crime and making communities feel safe, however there are occasions where we will adopt more covert techniques to combat those causing the most harm to local residents. Going forward we intend to continue with these days of action to identify those who commit crime in our community.”
