South Swindon Parish Council has taken the decision to suspend all Parish Committee meetings and working party meetings until further notice. This is due to the Coronavirus and follows updated government advice issued on the 16th March.

While Parish Council meetings are cancelled, the council’s focus will be on delivering basic services, street cleaning, grounds maintenance, play area checks, repairs and keeping the Parish Council’s parks open- Old Town Gardens, Queens Park and GWR Park are all the responsibility of the Parish Council.

Parish Council Clerk, Rob Core, said: “Following the government’s advice yesterday, all South Swindon Parish Council Meetings have been cancelled. I will be in discussion with the Parish Council Chair and Vice-Chair about the delegated powers required to keep all necessary Parish Council services and projects continuing.”
