Pedestrian left in life-threatening condition after car accident

Wiltshire Police are appealing for witnesses after a pedestrian was serious injured in a collision in Swindon.

Officers were called to Queen's Drive at around 6.35pm yesterday (09/02) after a pedestrian was involved in a collision with a car.

The patient, a man in his 40s, was taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol and his condition is described as life-threatening.

The driver of the car, a grey Peugeot, remained at the scene. No arrests have been made.

The road was closed for around eight hours while investigative work was carried out.

Any witnesses, including anyone who may have dash cam footage which could assist our enquiries, should call Wiltshire Police's Collision Investigation Unit on 101, quoting log 424 of yesterday (9/2).
