Police appeal for information after burglar takes family jewellery

Wiltshire Police are appealing for information after family jewellery was stolen during a burglary.

The incident happened between 6pm and 9.50pm on 26 February at an address in Fraser Close, Swindon.

A cream coloured faux leather jewellery box was stolen containing several items of family jewellery.

Some of the items are of sentimental value to the elderly occupant and her family.

The items include:
- A silver chain with orange coloured coral pendant
- Freshwater pearl necklace with single string of pearls
- Pair of gold earrings with pearl inset
- Gold leaf-shaped brooch
- Gold brooch inset with blue stones

PC Rebecca Weaver said: "I would like to appeal to anyone who may have information in relation to this burglary, or anyone who has been offered the items for sale. Maybe you've seen them for sale online? We'd be keen to hear from you.

"Anyone with information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
