Wiltshire Police are appealing for witnesses after a disturbance at an address in Penhill yesterday evening.

Around 7.30pm on Heddington Drive, a group of people were involved in an altercation where a local woman in her 40s received an injury to her cheek.

A group of males, some of whom were on bikes, fled the area in the direction of Milston Avenue.

The woman was taken to the Great Western Hospital for treatment.

Det Sgt Scott Anger said: "This took place in the early evening when it was still light and with this weather many people will have had their windows open.  There are likely to have been people in the area who saw or heard this assault or the group running / cycling in the area soon afterwards.

"If you can help us with our enquiries in anyway please contact us."

Please contact Swindon CID on 101, quoting 54180068677 or anonymously, via Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.
