Police appeal for witnesses after fight breaks out in Swindon

Wiltshire Police are appealing for information following an incident which occurred in Rosebery Street, Swindon.

Two men were seen fighting in the street at approximately 11.30am, 7 December. One man, aged 24, was taken to Great Western Hospital for treatment for a head injury.

A 43-year-old local man has been arrested in connection with the incident and has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

PC Jonathan Kilburn said: "We are appealing for witnesses to the incident to come forward - were you in the area at this time and did you see either the fight or the immediate events leading up to it, or the aftermath?

"We are also keen to speak to a postal worker who we believe may have been in the area at the time.

"At this time our enquiries are ongoing, but  if you have any information which could assist us, please call 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
