Celebrations are the order of the day for six Prior Park Prep School pupils who have been selected to play for Wiltshire County Cricket Club.
Selection to the prestigious cricket club has meant months of hard work and commitment during which the boys have had to compete at a consistently high level for both their school and their club.
The boy's cricketing skills then saw them selected for an intense 12 week programme with the North East Wiltshire Cricket District. After their constantly good performances playing district cricket, they were then selected for county trials. The tough selection process covered all aspects of the boys' cricketing performance including bowling, batting and fielding.
The selected Prior Park Prep pupils are Joseph and Aryan who have been selected to play for the U10’s, James and Nicholas for the U11’s and Oliver and Ethan for the U12’s.
On hearing that he had been selected, Ethan said; "I love cricket and I’m so pleased to have been selected. I can’t wait for my first match."
