Reggae Garden, the Caribbean themed family festival that takes place every year in Old Town Gardens has been cancelled this year.

The festival, which has run for seven years, was a hugely popular part of the town's summer cultural calendar.

A statement released by the organisers said: "It's with deep regret that due to a number of circumstances out of our control we are going to have to cancel The Reggae Garden 2018 at the Old Town Bowl.

"This is a decision we haven't taken lightly and we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. Everyone who has bought tickets will get a full refund via The Ticket Sellers. This would have been our eighth Year running the festival and we would like to thank every one who has supported over the years.

"We will be taking a break from hosting any events at the Old Town Bowl but will be looking at new opportunities to make use of this beautiful venue in the future."
