Following a road traffic collision at just before 10am today on the A419 southbound, Wiltshire Police are appealing for motorists to avoid the area for now.

The collision was between a lorry and a car close to the junction with Seven Bridges Farm – air ambulance, ambulance and fire are also on the scene.

The southbound carriageway of the A419 is completely closed from the Cricklade junction towards Swindon; one lane northbound, close to the road traffic collision, is also closed meaning traffic is very slow on that carriageway.

Police are advising motorists to avoid the area as the road will be affected for some time.
