Christmas can be a joyful time of year. A chance to see family and friends, exchange gifts and have some fun.

But for many of us it can be really challenging, and for those of us with a mental health problem, coping can be even more difficult.

Because of this, Mind have put together some useful resources for getting through the festive period:

Feelings of loneliness can feel stronger at Christmas. If this is something you’re struggling with, you might find this information helpful http://bit.ly/2hMHAkw

Christmas time can also bring up a whole lot of practical and emotional issues which can be really stressful. See Mind's tips to help you manage http://bit.ly/2hwXdi3

Remember, you’re not the only one struggling. Mind have some great bloggers write for them on how difficult this time of year is. Read them here http://bit.ly/2gOFezS

Elefriends (Mind's online community) are really good at supporting each other when times are tough. Visit, be yourself, share and be heard http://bit.ly/2heMAxA

The Mind Infoline can give you information on diagnosis, treatments and types of support. They are still open during the holidays, just at slightly different times. Call, and if no-one’s there, you can text or email and they’ll get back to you http://bit.ly/2hIlobK

I hope this helps.

Remember, take one minute, hour or day at a time. Things may feel easier in January.

Take care and stay safe.
