Swindon Wildcats has announced the welcome return of Toms Rutkis on another two-way arrangement with the Cardiff Devils.
Toms initially joined the Wildcats after graduating from the Okanagan Hockey Academy in the summer of 2015.
Last season was his most productive in Wiltshire, and saw him contribute 38 points in 42 games, including 20 goals.
Head Coach Aaron Nell is pleased to have come to an agreement with Toms again for the new campaign.
He said: “We’re thrilled to have come to an agreement with Todd Kelman and Cardiff for another season. Obviously this has been an unusual summer but we’re really happy to have reached this deal for Toms.
"Toms has the best of both worlds - he trains every day with the best club in the country and that really shows when he comes to us and plays. For us last year he was at his best, and whenever he can ice for us I’m sure we’ll notice his presence on the ice.
"This year he’ll have a bigger role on the ice and we’ll really get to see the best of him. I’m excited to see him in Wildcats jersey for another season.
"We’d like to thank Cardiff for their help in getting this deal sorted and I can’t wait to welcome Toms back again for another season.”
For 20/21 Toms will once again be sponsored by the Mfor Festival, which will next be held on 31 July next year.
