Swindon Borough Council are asking residents of the town to read and share their views on its new physical activity strategy.

Swindon Borough Council announces its new physical activity strategy and says it wishes to receive feedback from Swindon residents.

A spokesperson from the council said: "Physical activity has huge benefits for all of our health and wellbeing – it’s linked with a reduced risk of many diseases while also improving our mental wellbeing and helping to connect communities."

The council says it wishes to make sure that as many people as possible in the Swindon community are able to keep active which is why it is pulling together a new physical activity strategy, alongside its partners.

People can read the draft strategy and share their thoughts and opinions to help get Swindon active at http://ow.ly/YwBu50IRh1h.

Members of the public have until Monday, 9 May to share their thoughts.
