Swindon Croquet Club earned a hard-fought draw against Bristol Croquet Club (A).
The match in the South West Federation GC Level Play League was for teams with handicaps of 5 and above.
Held in cold, windy and wet weather conditions, the match ended in a 10 - 10 draw, after having swung in favour of both teams as each round progressed.
A spokesperson from the Swindon Croquet Club said the individual games were equally hard fought, with a quarter going to the 'golden hoop' decider.
The Swindon team's captain, Tony Mayer, added: "We are looking forward to the next match v Bath and then the return game at Bristol."
Those who would like to try the sport can attend free taster sessions (with friendly tuition and equipment provided) at SCC’s Moredon lawns.
