Swindon Town Football Club are now recruiting for its free Football Fans in Training cohort for January.

STFC says its Football Fans In Training (FFIT) course has been a huge success previously, helping men and women lose weight and live a healthier lifestyle.

The FFIT programme will run for 12-weeks and aims to support individuals to eat more healthily, become more active and over the long term, improve wellbeing.

The football club says the programme has been running since 2015 and during this time the outcomes and success stories from the participants have been extremely impressive.

A spokesperson for STFC said: "We have helped hundreds of people over the past six years, and this course is not just a quick fix, we aim to help people make the changes that will last a lifetime.

"We are looking for people who want to lose weight, get more active and improve their mental wellbeing, ultimately making key lifestyle changes for the future.

"The course is free to attend and is delivered in partnership with Swindon Public Health. We run these courses three times a year so there is plenty of opportunity to get involved- it really is a no brainer!"

Groups for January are as follows:

- Men’s age 18-35

- Men’s age 35-65

- Ladies age 35-65

Swindon Town FC say the only requirements are that individuals have a BMI of over 28 and a waist measurement of 36” and over.
