As technology advances, the world of online casinos seems to grow bigger and better, right before our very eyes.

With technology not only advancing in the gaming world, but the communications world too, mobile phones have evolved to become smartphones, allowing people all over the world to carry a computer-like system in their pocket.

Thanks to this development, it’s now easier and more accessible for players worldwide to gain access to one of the many online casino platforms out there.

They can now play here, there, or anywhere, anytime they desire, as long as they have a strong and reliable internet connection.

With this in mind, we wanted to explore two games that players can access with a tap of an app or click of a button – whether logging in for the first time or the millionth.

Are you ready to see what there is to discover on the virtual casino floor?

Blackjack

A casino card classic that’s evolved with the ever-changing world, to become available to the masses on a digital and physical platform is, of course, Blackjack.

With the aim of the game being to hold a hand of cards worth as close to, but not over 21, this card game is played by two people – the player and the dealer.

To be victorious, you’ll need to acquire a hand of cards that totals as close to 21 without exceeding, whilst also trying to hold a hand value worth more than your opponent, the dealer. If you both end the game on the same value, you tie, neither of you wins, and your wager will be returned. If the dealer creates a hand of a higher total than yours, they win. If you manage to beat the dealer’s hand total, whilst staying under a total of 21, you win and receive a payout.

Finding your hand’s total is easy – all numbered cards hold the value of the number shown on the card. For example, the Two of Hearts has a value of two. Picture cards, also known as the royals, all hold a value of ten. The aces, however, hold two values which the holder can choose – one and eleven.

Roulette

A casino classic that’s been spun all over the world, Roulette is best known for its iconic wheel of altering colours – black and red with an occasional green pocket too.

To play, you’ll need to place a wager on the corresponding Roulette table when the dealer announces the betting window is open. Once the betting window is closed, the dealer will then spin the wheel and enter the ball into play.

The ball will be thrown in the opposite direction to the wheel – this is how the iconic sound of the small ball bouncing around the wheel is created.

Once the wheel has come to a complete stop, the dealer will place a small item called a dolly on the Roulette table, to signal the winning pocketed compartment, whilst also calling the number and its colour.

If anyone playing on the table correctly predicted the outcome, they will be awarded their payout. All chips on the table will then be swept off the table, clearing it for the next game.
