Swindon falls silent to remember the fallen

Veterans, serving members of the armed forces and members of the public gathered at the Cenotaph in Regent Circus to honour those who gave their lives in conflict.

The national two-minute silence at 11am on November 11th is the 100th time that Armistice Day - the annual act of remembrance - has been held since it was introduced in 1919 to honour the fallen in the Great War.
