Robert Buckland MP is urging local charities, social enterprises, community groups and state-funded schools and colleges to apply for funding from the NatWest Skills and Opportunities Fund.

Thom Kenrick, Head of Community Programmes at RBS explained: “The fund was launched in 2015 as part of NatWest’s on-going commitment to making a difference in the local communities they serve and has already shared £5m in 4 rounds of funding, providing grants of up to £35k to not-for-profit organisations across the UK and Ireland that help people achieve qualifications, find work or start a business.

“The Fund is expected to reach over 75,000 people by the end of 2017, helping to build better lives and stronger communities.”

Robert Buckland MP said: “With £1million available in the first two rounds of funding in 2017, this fund is definitely worth applying for, but you will have to hurry because applications will only remain open until midday on Friday, 24th February.’’

If you know an organisation that could benefit, please do encourage them to apply. To find out more, including details on eligibility criteria, visit http://skillsandopportunitiesfund.natwest.com/apply.html

The Fund is also being promoted on Twitter and via @RBS and #skillsandopportunities. You can also follow Skills & Opportunities Fund updates on Facebook and LinkedIn.”
