Swindon police appeal after sex attack in Freshbrook

Wiltshire Police have released an e-fit of a man they would like to speak to after a woman was sexually assaulted in Freshbrook, West Swindon.

The incident happened during the evening of 7 May - a 40-year-old woman was walking alone when a man approached her from behind while in the alleyway near to Cottington Close.

The man grabbed the woman's bottom and put his hand up her top.

The woman ran back towards the Tesco store at this point.

The man is described as having olive skin, approximately 5ft 9in tall, or medium build and around 30 years old. He was wearing dark blue jeans a light blue or grey formal shirt.

PC Ben Moore said: "We would like to ask that anyone who was in the area at just before 9pm on 7 May who may have seen the incident, or a man matching the description given, to get in touch.

"I'd also ask you to take a look at the e-fit we have produced - if this person looks familiar we'd like to hear from you.

"This incident took place on a lone woman on a bright Spring evening in a residential area. It has left her feeling understandably shaken up."

"We are conducting a thorough investigation into this incident. Anyone with information should call police on 101."
