On Friday 23 September, X-Forces will be holding a Business Start-Up Skills Workshop in the Swindon Pop In, from 10.30 am – 4.00pm.
X-Forces provides business start up support and self-employment advice to members of the Armed Forces Community. Since 2013 they have helped to launch over 700 new businesses and helped to secure more than £7 million in government-backed start-up funding.
In their workshop they can explain the pros and cons of self-employment, and explain the routes to setting up a business.
They can assign an advisor as a personal point of contact to support the business from idea to launch, and to assist with all stages of planning. They can provide structured guidance to produce a comprehensive business plan and cash flow forecast.
They can help to secure funding from £500 - £25,000 in the form of a government backed personal loan, at 6.2% fixed APR, usually over 5 years, average loans between £5k - £8k.
They can then offer ongoing support for up to 12 months of mentoring from the date of the business launch.
So, if you are a service leaver, a veteran, a reservist, a spouse, family or cadet with a business idea, then pop in to the Royal British Legion Swindon Pop In on Friday 23 September for some advice and support.
RSVP, please, to: Isobel Thompson, Advice and Information Officer, email:[email protected]
