Singing talent, Lewis Blissett, 13, has wowed the judges in The Voice Kids, which aired on Saturday.

Viewers saw Commonweal student Lewis, showcase his talent in front of judges Danny Jones, Pixie Lott and Will.i.am with a performance of Cry Me Out originally sung by Pixie Lott. And it was enough to send him through to the next round.

All three judges span their chairs to show they had chosen Lewis, but he chose Pixie, because he said she was "an inspiration to him". Lewis said that she "was the right choice as they both sing and dance and he likes her style". Another inspiration of Lewis' is Ariana Grande, he said that he is inspired by here because "she went from acting into the music industry, and I respect that because she followed her aspirations"

In the future Lewis plans to be a recording artist but he knows that it is a tough gig, but would love to go on tour and release albums. Currently, Lewis is learning the guitar, which could maybe lead to him performing with his guitar. According to Ali Sutcliffe, Lewis' music teacher, he is "someone who never stops singing".

Lewis said that he "didn't realise that the judges turned around as he was too focused on the song" and he described the whole experience as "surreal".

The recording was made several months ago but he has been sworn to secrecy and refused to reveal the result. The next episode of The Voice Kids will air on Saturday at 7.45pm.
