Swindon’s energy-filled youngsters will have a new place to go wild when play centre Bonkers opens in The Brunel shopping centre on Wednesday 14 September.

Owner Sandra Burchell along with Pippa and Barney, have relocated Bonkers from Studley Grange and will provide town centre shoppers with a haven of soft play, including a giant hamster wheel, toddler fire engine, two-storey play frame, cannon arena, aerial runway and an interactive toddler keyboard.

The play centre is suitable for all children up to the age of 12, with a separate baby and toddler area for those aged four and under.

Bonkers will now be able to offer a range of freshly cooked food and drink which the new premises has enabled them to do.  It will also cater for celebrations, with a range of party packages available.

Pippa said: “We are so proud of this amazing space we have created for families to enjoy with an exciting range of toys and equipment for children.  We are really pleased to be part of the Brunel and bouncing back into business with this bigger and better location.

“We have put together a packed list of weekly sessions and events, including Multiple Mondays, Toddler Tuesdays and Thursdays, Coffee and Cake Wednesdays, as well as a term time after-school special, all offering discounts. We’ve been running Bonkers for 14 years and know that everyone loves soft play, so we will be introducing childminder discount cards and customer loyalty cards.

“In the future, we will also be offering a cr?che service, so mums and dads can enjoy their shopping in peace.  Bonkers play centre at the Brunel will hopefully be a great addition to the town centre.”

Kevin Gwilliam, General Manager of The Brunel shopping centre said that Bonkers would be a welcome addition to The Brunel.  Kevin said: “We’re looking forward to Bonkers opening their doors on Saturday and having Swindon’s youngsters get to grips with the great play equipment they have there.

“This is a great example of another local, independent business expanding their offering to the people of Swindon by being able to make the most of the space available at the centre.  We’re sure that family shoppers will go Bonkers for the play centre!”
