Police are appealing for witnesses to a robbery which took place in Swindon earlier this week.

At approximately 2pm on December 11, a 19-year-old man was in Cambria Bridge Road when he was approached by three men and one woman from the direction of William Street.

One of the members of the group demanded to know the victim’s name, while another swung a punch at him.

The victim attempted to protect himself by curling up on the floor and the group then kicked him several times before one of the men threatened him with a knife.

They then made off with the victim’s watch – a gold Boss watch worth approximately £230, as well as a red iPhone 11 and a grey Oakley backpack.

The phone and bag were later located with significant damage by officers in Cambria Bridge Park.

A 20-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of robbery. He has been interviewed and released on conditional bail while further enquiries are conducted.

We would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident, or anyone who may have been driving in the time who may have captured the incident on a dash cam.

Anyone with information should call 101 and quote crime reference number 54190122739.

Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
