Police are appealing for information following an attempted robbery in Bridge End Road, Swindon.

At approximately 2.30pm on Wednesday 2 October, a 19-year-old man was cycling past the Dockle Farmhouse pub when a man jumped into his path and pushed him from his bike.

The suspect was then joined by two other men. They demanded cash and personal belongings from the victim and looked through his bag before walking off empty handed in the direction of Stratton, along Swindon Road.

The first man is described as white, aged in his early 20s, approximately 5 ft 10 inches tall and of slight build. He had blonde curly hair, and was carrying headphones and wearing a green tracksuit.

The second man is described as white, aged in his early 20s, 6 ft 1 inch tall, and of large build, with straight brown hair. He had a flame tattoo on his upper left arm. He was wearing a grey top, tracksuit bottoms and was carrying a black rucksack.

The third man is described as white and approximately 5 ft 8.

PC Keith Larkworthy said: “This incident happened in broad daylight, near to a busy roundabout so it’s likely there are people who would have seen something.
