Swindon’s Bus Company, Thamesdown, has introduced a fully revised timetable for its bus services in-and-around Swindon.
“We have made a number of improvements to routes across our network, following feedback from our customers,” said Alex Chutter, general manager of Thamesdown.
“These include new routes 15, 16 and 24, as well as extra journeys and more frequent buses on many other routes to provide our customers with more convenient and reliable services. This is a full review of our bus network, and we’re confident it will be well-received by those who travel with us here.”
The following changes came into effect on Sunday 11 March 2018:
Route 1 – Most Monday to Friday and Saturday journeys will have new times. There will be an extra early Saturday morning journey between the town centre and Great Western Hospital to provide extra capacity at the morning shift change time. The Sunday service will be improved with new earlier and later journeys. Running times will be increased at certain times throughout the week to reflect traffic congestion and to provide a more reliable service.
Route 2 – There are changes to the times of some Monday to Friday and Saturday journeys.

Abbey Meads, St Andrews Ridge and Blunsdon will now be served by new route 16 (see below). Due to very low passenger numbers, buses will no longer run between Blunsdon and Highworth.
