Jake Olive, now aged 15, made his first film when he was just six. On 10 December, he releases his first major short film.

Called ‘Transition,’ Jake, who lives in South Marston and studies film at Faringdon Community College, explores an intriguing and remarkably mature idea. Working with six cast members, he wrote, directed and edited the film which features a character named Rick Bridgers, an astrophysicist who has spent his life figuring out a revolutionary theory he calls ‘The Bond In Time.’

Jake looks at how Rick attempts to a find a way of cheating his imminent death so that he can prove his theory.

Jake said: “I’ve been a passionate film fanatic for my whole life. I don't really know where it came from, it's just deep within me and what I am born to do.

My inspiration comes from directors like Christopher Nolan, Steven Spielberg, Quentin Tarantino. I just like blending a mixture of themes and styles of work from artists that inspire me."

'Transition’ is due for release on 10 December. To watch a preview and see his other work, log on to Jake Olive YouTube channel and find him on Instagram @_jake_olive
