Two teenagers arrested after drugs, money and a knife seized in Swindon

Two teenagers have been arrested after drugs, money and a knife were seized by police in Swindon.

On-duty PCSOs spotted two people acting suspiciously near Sainsbury’s in Brunel Plaza, New Town, at around 11.30am today (15 May 2018).

The two suspects ran from officers, dropping a bag as they fled, but were chased and caught behind the supermarket.

The discarded bag contained individual bags of what is believed to be Class A drugs.

Officers also seized a large sum of cash and a knife.

A 15-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs and a 19-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and possession of a knife.

The pair, who are both from Swindon, are currently in police custody.
